Goal: Education & Community
The Mandala Education Garden is an ever-evolving permaculture garden in Törökbálint. It holds awareness but is not "finished" – rather, it's a living system that changes with us. At once orderly and a bit wild: raised beds, compost, fruit trees, half-finished ideas, mud, laughter, campfire.
What do we do? We plant, build, dismantle, rethink. Sometimes everything works. Sometimes nothing. Both are part of the process. Permaculture here is not a separate program, but the foundation. We shape the garden so that water doesn't drain away, but stays. We build the soil continuously, not deplete it. We don't treat plants separately, but as a system – where they work together. We don't think in quick fixes, but in systems that become increasingly stable over time and require less and less intervention.
What happens in the meantime? Conversations start while working. Ideas are born. Someone understands for the first time that sustainability is not a "topic" but an operation. And somehow everything slows down a bit.
Who comes here? Children pulling a carrot out of the ground for the first time. Young people who start to see the world differently. Adults who want to break out of their usual routine. And companies who want not just to talk about sustainability, but to do something visible.
Why do they come back? Because here you don't have to be ready. You can try, make mistakes, start over. And because at the end of the day, there is really something we created together.
Looking for sustainable solutions as a company? Let's work together on projects with real impact.
We provide support, mentoring and community for the implementation.
