About Us

By Youth. For Youth.

A COMMUNITY SHAPED BY YOUNG PEOPLE

We work on projects, build teams, and organize events — creating tangible environmental and social impact.

IZI – Youth Green Incubator is a community where sustainability is part of everyday life. We work on projects, build teams, organize events — and create tangible environmental and social impact along the way.

Our Story

In the fall of 2025, a handful of enthusiastic young people became a community. Shared gardening, long conversations, and that great feeling when "world-changing" ideas suddenly become plans — then reality.

At Mandala Education Garden, permaculture is not theory but practice: together we build a future where diversity is valued, and everyone can find their own project — be it a garden, community event, or social initiative.

Our Mission

We build a community where young people can achieve real impact: in environmental projects, social initiatives, local and international collaborations. We believe the shapers of the future are already here – and we provide them with space, tools, and support.

Committed young people and mentors – diverse backgrounds, one shared focus: making it happen.

C

Carrick Orsi

Founder, Skills Trainer

Orsi is the founder of IZI and works as a skills trainer in the team: not just starting projects, but empowering people. She designs learning situations where young people practice 21st-century skills in real life: communication, teamwork, problem-solving, confidence, and responsibility. For her, it's important that development is not theory but lived experience — and that participants later pass on this method to those younger than them. She's in IZI because she believes that when given space and tools, young people can quickly create real, positive change.

N

Nagy Péter

Permaculture Designer, Educator

Peti is IZI's "fix-everything" permaculture designer and practical educator: he measures, plans, builds, fixes, fine-tunes — and teaches along the way. He's the one who brings big ideas down to earth: showing what works in reality, how much of what is needed, and what makes a solution durable, safe, and smart. In the team, he's both a systems-thinking designer and a hands-on builder, so "what next" comes together quickly in every project. He's key in IZI because alongside him, young people don't just get inspiration, but a practical toolkit with which they can confidently build and teach later.

D

Dominic Balconi

Permaculture Designer

Dominic Balconi is a permaculture designer, bringing the "design lens" to IZI. For him, permaculture is ethical design thinking that can be applied to almost anything: gardens, communities, projects, life. He first encountered it in South Africa while building eco-houses for a charity project, and was completely drawn in. Since then, he's worked on permaculture projects in more than ten countries, from small family gardens to large NGO programs. He's in IZI so that young people can confidently design, build, and dare to dream big responsibly — because our future can truly be designed.

H

Horváth Attila

Partner Relations

Attila is primarily responsible for partner relations in IZI: building bridges between people, organizations, and good causes. He encountered permaculture about 10 years ago, and the holistic, pattern-thinking approach has been closest to him ever since. He believes we learn most effectively when we recognize patterns and can transfer them to other areas of life. What he loves about IZI is that with a dynamic team, they can create in largely "uncharted" territories at home while strengthening community and promoting sustainable solutions. In short: connection + system + impact — that's his territory.

J

Járfás Viki

Events, Food Preservation

Viki loves that in IZI, learning is not theory but shared creation: trying, practicing, making it happen. She first encountered permaculture at a summer camp and was immediately drawn to the approach that connecting with nature and cooperation go hand in hand. She's particularly close to the world of food preservation (fermentation, canning), because it's creative, practical, and easily shareable knowledge. She's also active in event organization: she enjoys helping programs come together well not just in content, but in organization and experience too. She's in IZI because she's motivated by shared growth — and by turning good ideas into programs others can experience.

F

Fábián Adrián

Community Organizer

Adrián is IZI's community organizer: he brings together people, ideas, and venues so that initiatives become real collaborations. He sees permaculture not simply as gardening, but as a kind of life compass that constantly guides toward balance. Patient observation of nature gave him inner order and clearer direction, and he wants to pass on this grounded, sensible approach to as many young people as possible. He works in IZI so that the vision doesn't remain just a nice thought, but becomes shared, living reality — generation after generation.

S

Szilágyi Balázs

IT Tech Wizard

Szilágyi Balázs is IZI's IT "tech wizard": he's the one who puts together and keeps the tech alive in the background when the system would otherwise fall apart. When something doesn't work, he comes with a quick diagnosis and an even quicker solution — often even when everyone else has given up. Because of his stable, calm presence, the team dares to take on new tools and digital solutions. He's key in IZI because he's often literally saved us from trouble, and always gets our processes back on track too.

S

Szabó Lilla Boglárka

Event Coordinator

Lilla handles event organization and on-site coordination in IZI: from the schedule to logistics to details, she ensures everything runs smoothly. She follows the process from planning to implementation, and helps the team wherever needed — even in garden work and planting. Her strength is organization and a calm, practical approach, which provides a stable framework for programs. Thanks to her work in IZI, events are transparent, well-organized, and participant-friendly.
